Yeah so I am feeling great right now. Yesterday I messaged three ladies out of the blue because I saw them on this site and guess what??? They replied and I guess I now have a few more friends that I can chat with about what's going on back in Singapore and stuff. Hmm... for some silly reason, that actually is pretty comforting. :)
So other than my good news from these new found friends, I also went to the doctor bright and early today. Things are good and I actually like this doctor. Unlike my last experience, this endocrinologist is actually pretty darn cool. She has great bedside manners and a good rapport was established. Ned was with me and answered some of the questions for me cos' I don't remember them all. I mean who could?? Ned was mad at me this morning cos' I ran late (tends to happen occasionally but I am trying to get better) and we couldn't walk Yuki (our cute little puppy) before we left. I apologized and he was still a little miffed and I hope things get a little better when I get home from work. Keeping my fingers crossed that he is in a better mood tonight. :)
The appointment went well and I had to sign a release so she can get my records from my old doctor. That is fine by me as I need to establish a good relation with a doctor at some point here in Billings, MT. So okay, establish a primary doctor, checked. Gotta go through my check list (have to either make one up quickly or just wing it) but that can wait. Got better things to do....
Oh yeah, got some compliments on my outfit today and that made me giggle a little cos' it was a fuss free option. Truthfully, it was the only clean and wrinkle free outfit I have (the rest are waiting for the ironing fairy to visit) but I will take that soon. Oh yeah back to the check list, add ironing on top of cooking for tonight. So yeah.... Yippe for me.... ;)
Alright, that's it for now. Until then, I will find more interesting thing to write about.

Time flies...
A year has almost gone by since our move to Billings, MT. Although a calculated move, it was hard to move away from Stillwater, OK. Having lived there for seven years, everything and everyone is familiar. The thought of moving to a new state is foreign to me although that was my thought seven years ago. Anyway, things have calmed down since our great move; there are still boxes packed up in the garage but I am not unpacking those. I am hoping that our next move will be more permanent aka our own house. :) Currently our apartment is a safe haven for us and with a bigger kitchen Ned and I can actually be in the kitchen together.
There are many things I miss in OK; namely the ethnic restaurants and the Asian supermarkets. Although a nice city, Billings does not have an Asian supermarket nor does it have many choices of ethnic food as well. Ned has promised me trips to Denver and we are going to try and make our way down there sometime within the next few weeks. I can't wait for that trip so I can actually buy all the spices and sauces I need to cook....
Since this is my first attempt at blogging, I hope I can actually find more interesting thing to post as oppose to daily mundane routine. Anyway I came across this site while I was searching for recipes and came across a few bloggers who are from Southeast Asia as well. That kinda makes my day today. Knowing that there are people who share similar interests and food habits like me within this region makes me feel a lot more comforted. Perhaps I can even ask these wonderful individuals for suggestions when I do make my trip to Denver. Wow.... the more I think about it, the more I think they are a wonderful addition to my life. Who would have thought that me searching for recipes would have connected me to these ladies...
Anyway, I might be ahead of myself as I have only contacted them earlier to say hi. I hope I hear from them. Gonna keep my fingers crossed. Anywho I did get some awesome recipes from their sites and I will definitely continue visiting their site. In the meantime, I am keeping my fingers crossed and reminiscing about how time flies...
Time flies by when you are enjoying yourself or not... :) But focus on the bright side as it sure beats being dark and gloomy.
